Looks and Feel

Bajaj’s Neon series is designed keeping youth in mind and has been quite popular. At first glance, this bike will remind you of the Pulsar 150 Neon. Except for the engine, everything else is similar to what you see in the Pulsar 150 Neon. Nonetheless, the new Pulsar 125 Neon also looks significantly better. It features a grab rail, a 3D logo on the rear cowl, Pulsar logo, and black alloy wheels, giving it a rich feel. It comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster, but in our opinion, Bajaj needs to upgrade its design and backlight color. Overall, we liked the look of this bike.

Riding and Handling

Many of you have asked us about the engine of the new Pulsar 125 Neon. Does it have the Discover engine? When we asked Bajaj, they told us that it has the Pulsar series engine but with some technical changes to bring it into the 125cc category. The company also claims that its performance will not disappoint. To find out, we went for testing… The initial pickup of the bike remains consistent until the end. Its handling instills confidence and keeps every problem at bay. It easily reaches speeds of 0-60 and 0-80 kmph. However, it takes a little longer to reach speeds of 80-100 kmph. But we don’t recommend riding this bike at high speeds. Riding at 60-70 kmph is enjoyable. The bike is very smooth. Currently, even at high speeds, the engine does not vibrate. Its NVH level is good. Although it weighs 140 kilograms, there is no problem riding it. Its stability improves on the road. Its seat is soft, but while riding, you have to lean a bit, so on long distances, you will have to straighten your back a bit. Its suspension does not disappoint and handles rough roads easily.

Braking

The bike has a disc brake in the front tire and a drum brake in the rear. Since this is a 125cc bike, it does not have an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), but it is equipped with CBS to compensate for that deficiency. CBS helps in quickly stopping the bike. In terms of braking, the bike impressed us.
